I had only witnessed such scenes on tv--in movies, in soap opera, the news. But not in reality.
I've had people close to me taken by death. Most of them through disease. Some of them, too young to be taken. And their going not expected. Therefore thoroughly grieved. Others had spent considerable time in this world. And though however much I thought I had prepared myself for their passing, the actual moment of farewell still had me numb. I guess there really is no amount of preparation that would brace one for a passing of a loved one.
So I can really not imagine how one faces a loved one's going without saying good-bye. I am not sure what happens to a person after death. But those whom one left behind would really have a difficult time coping no matter the circumstance. Especially if the going were not a good one.
I just pray for these poor people who will be taking the brunt of the young man's passing. May they find closure and peace.
